Better understand biodiversity in agricultural environments, how it evolves and its links
Develop tracking indicators to monitor biodiversity status in agricultural environments and raise awareness among agricultural professionals about practices to support biodiversity
Observatoire Agricole de la Biodiversité
The OAB offers agricultural professionals four standardized protocols they can use to observe wild fauna on their land. The collected data are analyzed at the MNHN.
SPIPOLL aims to obtain qualitative and quantitative data to better understand how pollinating and/or flower-visiting insect communities interact with flowers.
SPIPOLL
Participants carry out standardized photographic inventories of all invertebrate activity at a flowering plant station. The protocol requires only interest in insects or plants and basic observation skills.
Participation of a network of mollusk expert amateurs in great expeditions
Amateurs who are taxonomy experts contribute in different ways to great expeditions by collecting specimens if the wildlife can be harvested by hand or by diving, by sorting specimens or by describing new shellfish species.
Exploration de la biodiversité marine
Help build knowledge on biodiversity in the marine environment;
- Collect specimens by diving or by harvesting them by hand following a specific protocol;
- Sort and pack harvested specimens in different taxonomic groups;
- Describe new species.
A participatory approach in Indonesia where students and members of the local communities work together on archaeological, prehistorical and cultural heritage conservation issues.
Human Origins Heritage (HOH)
- Retrieval of scientific data in collaboration with local communities and institutions (museums, schools, elected officials)
- Collaborative discussion on the implementation of conservation tools
The project aims to document variations of the French language spoken around the world from a linguistic geography perspective.
Français de nos Régions
Internet users are invited to participate in “language vitality” surveys.
The survey results can be viewed as labeled maps on a blog.
The blog posts are shared on social media, which in turn helps recruit new participants
